This rubric outlines the success criteria for your Culminating Activity (30%). Use this as a checklist before you submit.
Culminating Activity Evaluation
| Criteria | Level 1 (50-59%) | Level 2 (60-69%) | Level 3 (70-79%) | Level 4 (80-100%) | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Problem Solving & Logic(Thinking) | Program contains major logical errors that prevent it from running correctly. | Logic is functional but may be inefficient or contain minor bugs. | Program solves the problem effectively with clear, logical flow. | Logic is insightful, highly efficient, and handles complex edge cases gracefully. | | Control Structures & Data(Application) | Control structures (loops/if) or Lists are missing or used incorrectly. | Basic use of loops and lists, but may lack complexity or contain redundancy. | Correct and effective use of nested loops, conditionals, and list operations. | Sophisticated use of data structures and control flow to create a robust application. | | Modularity (Functions)(Application) | Code is monolithic (one big block) or functions are used incorrectly. | Some functions defined, but parameters/return values are underutilized. | Code is organized into logical functions with correct parameters and return values. | Code is highly modular, with reusable functions that make the main program clean and readable. | | Code Quality & Documentation(Communication) | Code is hard to read. Comments and docstrings are missing. | Some variable naming issues; comments/docstrings are sparse or incomplete. | Clear variable names. All functions have proper docstrings. Code is easy to follow. | Professional-grade readability. Documentation is thorough, consistent, and helpful. | | Process & AI Integrity(Thinking/Proc) | Project Journal is missing or has very few entries. AI use is undocumented. | Journal is incomplete or lacks detail regarding daily progress or AI prompts. | Journal clearly documents the development process and transparently logs AI usage. | Journal provides a detailed, reflective account of the development journey, debugging, and AI integration. |
If your code is complex but your Project Journal is empty, your project cannot be assessed. The journal is your proof of authorship.
